From YouTube to the small screen, there is sometimes only one step… which Yvick Letexier, better known under the pseudonym Mister V, has just taken: one of his creations, the crazy spy McWalter, will indeed make the subject of a film that will soon be broadcast by Amazon Prime Video, reports Sortir à Paris.
“Two and a half years I’ve been waiting to be able to say it and ten years I’ve been dreaming about it: McWalter will have his film, and we’re shooting it right now! », Confirmed the content creator to 6.3 million subscribers in an Instagram post published on September 27, 2024.

Mister V will thus reprise the role of the “barred” secret agent to whom he had already devoted three short films, on his YouTube channel, in 2015. The first had more than 15 million views and the following two, between 5.5 and 7.5 million views, recalls BFMTV.
A five-star cast
Presented as “an action comedy with a parodic tone”, the feature film will be directed by Simon Astier (director of Hero Corp and unforgettable Yvain in the series Kaamelottfrom his brother Alexandre).
The YouTuber will naturally take on the role of McWalter and will be accompanied, according to Konbini, by Géraldine Nakache (All that glitters), William Lebghil (Soda) and Vincent Dedienne (I’m not a hero).

Filming is currently taking place in Sofia, Bulgaria, “a country rich in vegetables and non-compliance with traffic laws,” joked Mister V, adding that the release of his first film was “planned for 2025.”
