Impatience is growing for Jurassic World 4 alias Jurassic World : Renaissance whose new photo promises an Indiana Jones adventure.
The month of July 2025 promises to be ultra-busy at the cinema between the arrival of Superman by James Gunn on July 9 to inaugurate the DCU on the big screen, the return of the Smurfs (again) on July 16 and Fantastic Four by Matt Shakman, supposed to reanimate the multiverse at half mast of the MCU. But before all that, July will start off with a bang with the highly anticipated Jurassic World : Renaissance. Because yes, despite catastrophic reviews, Jurassic World: The World After did not kill the saga thanks to its box office success (1 billion dollars collected).
Thus, Gareth Edwards (The Creator, Rogue One) was responsible for “rebooting” the machine with a new dinosaur story with the help of David Koepp, the screenwriter of Jurassic Park, no less. Exit Christ Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, hello Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali and Jonathan Bailey. The first photos of Jurassic World 4 have rather reassured and the new image unveiled by Universal promises quite an adventure.
INDINO JONES
“They are carrying out a dangerous mission” says the caption accompanying the new photo from the film. And it's true that at first glance, we have the sensation of finding a little of the soul of the first part and the touch of Steven Spielberg. Between the place which resembles the ruins of an ancient temple, the light which pierces and the egg held in the hand of Jonathan Bailey's paleontologist, impossible not to think for a single second about the opening scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark where Indiana Jones trades an idol…at his own risk.
-The caption of the tweet is perhaps a clue to the future of events for the Johansson-Bailey duo. Far from the chachapoya traps, will the capture of this egg provoke the anger of a dinosaur wanting to protect its offspring? Enough to lead to a nice action scene? We have the right to hope so because, let's be honest, if this Jurassic World : Renaissance is intriguing at the moment, one element is still missing with this new photo: those good old dinos.
However, they will indeed be at the center of the equation since Zora Bennett, an expert in secret operations played by Scarlett Johansson, is tasked with extracting the DNA of the “three most colossal creatures in a tropical biosphere” because they “hold the key to creating a miraculous drug that could save humanity”. If dinosaurs will not be everywhere (a priori), we are curious to see which ones were chosen by David Koepp.
However, the answer could come faster than we think. After all, Superman scheduled for July 9 has already been revealed in a spectacular trailer. Posting such an image for no real reason could well lead to the imminent release of a trailer onlinewith the film releasing in less than six months. Fingers crossed we find out a little more about the mission and the dinosaurs before the exit of Jurassic World : Renaissance on July 2, 2025.
