Investigators had their targets in their sights, since last summer and the siphoning of 15 heavy goods vehicles from companies based in Saint-Sixte and Port-Sainte-Marie. In total, nearly 4,000 liters of fuel were stolen from the trucks between August 17 and September 15.
At the end of their investigation, enriched by scientific findings and surveys, around twenty gendarmes from the Agen research brigade, the brigade communities of Laplume and Aiguillon, supported by the surveillance and intervention platoons of Tonneins and Agen , arrested two suspects on Wednesday January 22 at their homes in Aiguillon and Damazan.
These individuals aged 24 and 29 were placed in police custody to answer for these facts. At the same time, their alleged accomplice, currently incarcerated in the Agen remand center, was taken from his cell, in order to also explain his participation.
-The trio admitted the facts and received a court summons dated March 10, to answer for these aggravated thefts and attempted thefts.
