He teaser Superman trailer has left us with a good number of moments that have surprised fans (and not so fans) of the Man of Steel, but without a doubt, one of the ones that has most perplexed the public has been seeing Kal-El lying in the snow and visibly badly injured.

James Gunndirector of the film, spoke about this scene in an interview with Vanity Fair. During the conversation, he explained the meaning behind this moment and how it defines the Superman which we will see in its film version. According to Gunn, this film seeks to go beyond the classic approach of a powerful superhero.

“This movie, at the end of the day, is not about power. It is, in a broad sense, about a human being who struggles with his daily life. I thought it was a good place to start the trailer, and the movie, frankly,” said Gunn, who hinted that this scene will take place at the beginning of the film, setting the tone of the story from the first moments.

Everything indicates that the film will begin in the middle of a big battle, probably one that will not end well for Kal-El. From there, the viewer will be gradually introduced to the lives of Clark Kent, Lois Lane and other supporting characters as the plot progresses. Superman will hit theaters worldwide on July 11, 2025, promising a new perspective on the iconic hero.
