Google has just revealed its ranking of the most searched keywords around the world in 2024. At the time of taking stock, the multinational has therefore revealed its top 10 most searched films and series on the search engine during the past year. If the films roughly follow box office trends, there are big surprises regarding the series.

Concerning the series, obviously, the top searches mainly focus on French series. But it’s still a surprise to see Anthracitea series which clearly did not create a buzz, led by Since, reach the top of the podium. Just behind appears Brocéliande, a TF1 series which featured the singer’s first steps Nolwenn Leroy as an actress. The top 3 is completed by The Gentlementhe event series of Guy Ritchie adapted from his own film of the same name. Also note that Fiasco, taken by Pierre Niney and François Civil, rose to fifth place.

Obviously, international searches differ a little from French searches. Already, we can note that we find 4 films in common between the two lists: Terrifier 3, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Vice Versa 2 or even Dune: Part 2. The latest Pixar dominates the top international searches, followed by Deadpool & Wolverinethe juggernaut Marvel yet absent from our French list. Little surprise regarding third place since the thriller Saltburn comes to close the podium.

Concerning the series, obviously, it is big pieces from 2024 which come to the top of the searches. The ranking is dominated by the terrifying Baby Reindeer series: My little reindeer. A show which had caused a lot of talk, and which had created an impressive craze on Netflix. Second place was reached by Fallout, the adaptation of Amazon Prime which was unanimously appreciated throughout the world. The podium is completed with House of Dragona safe bet for lovers of Game of Thrones.
