Soon back in action film MutinyJason Statham is about to break everything (again), as announced in the first image revealed by Lionsgate.
The last time Jason Statham fans were able to admire his muscles was last May on Prime Video with The BeekeeperDavid Ayer’s latest film. The director and the star will renew their collaboration next year with Levon’s Trademore this is not the only project looming for Statham by 2025. The actor will also appear in Mutinyan action film directed by Frenchman Jean-François Richet, to whom we owe, among other things, Assault on Central 13, Public Enemy No. 1 et The Emperor of Paris.
Statham will play Cole Reed, a private security agent accused of murdering a billionaire. As he sets out to find the real culprit, the hunted man will find himself confronted with a global conspiracy… Something to lick your lips? That’s good: Lionsgate has just revealed the very first image of the filmrelayed by Collider.

Head as shaved as ever and mood as murderous as ever, Jason Statham appears in this photo, gun in hand and denim jacket on the shoulderslike the classic hero of a Statham movie. Something to delight fans who will already know that Mutinywhich began filming in September 2024, promises trouble.
On this film as on almost all those in which he has played since 2023, the actor is also a producer, via his company Punch Palace Productions, and is more than ever involved in the making of his action man character. It is also with his presence already recorded in the casting that the film was sold to Lionsgate at the Cannes film market in May 2024. The production is shared with MadRiver Pictures, which had already supported Maydaythe previous film by Jean-François Richet with Gerard Butler.
In the casting, Statham will be supported by Jason Wong, seen in Dungeons and Dragons: Thieves’ Honor et The Covenant : Mission en Afghanistanand Annabelle Wallis, heroine of Malignant et Peaky Blinders. No release date has yet been announced by SND, which will distribute the film in France, and it is not yet certain that Mutiny will be released in 2025, even if the revelation of this first image gives the impression that the work is well underway.
