Third consecutive week at the top of the box office for “L’Amour ouf”, the romance by Gilles Lellouche with Adèle Exarchopoulos and François Civil.

With nearly 3 million admissions, it is the third biggest success of the year for a French film.

Boosted by the success of French productions, attendance reached a level not seen in October since Covid.

It is indeed a phenomenon. With 761,900 additional tickets from Wednesday to Sunday evening, Love phew by Gilles Lellouche has totaled 2,933,703 entries since its release on October 16. As you read these lines, the milestone of 3 million spectators is about to be crossed. It is already the third biggest French success of the year behind A little something extra (10.7 million entries) and The Counts of Monte Cristo (9,1 millions).

Carried by an enthusiastic young audience, the violent and musical romance between the characters of Jackie and Clotaire retains first place at the box office and resists the Marvel blockbuster Venom : The Last Dance which still attracted 684,413 spectators. The third place on the podium is occupied by Juror No. 2the new film by Clint Eastwod, an exciting legal thriller with Nicholas Hoult and Toni Colette. A nice return for this legend of American cinema who is only entitled to a confidential release in the United States.

The million for “Monsieur Aznavour”

In fourth place in the ranking, the biopic Mr Aznavour with Tahar Rahim brings on board another 384,800 additional spectators and crosses the symbolic barrier of one million admissions at the end of its second weekend. It is followed by the American animated film The wild robot with 242,100 additional entries and a cumulative 1.4 million entries. Finally the Palme d'Or for Sean Baker, Anoraattracted 176,985 curious people. This is the best score for its director in .

Boosted by the success of French films, theater attendance recorded a record level in October with 15.53 million admissions, a spectacular increase of 10.8% in one year, the best month of October since the coronavirus pandemic.
