[News du Lundi] (Re)discover The Legends of the Jedi! • Literature News • Star Wars Universe

Hello everybody !

The Panini releases are a bit spread out this month, after Dark Droids last week it’s the turn of Legends to come back in force with the second volume of the Genesis of the Jedi period in the Epic Collection! The first volume contained the entire Dawn of the Jedi series by the prolific duo Ostrander/Duursema, published around 2010 and which went back 20,000 years into the past of the universe.

With this second volume, which begins the Tales of the Jedi, we take a leap in time… in every sense of the word, since we find ourselves “only” 5000 years before the period depicted by the films of the saga, and that the stories presented there were written… in the 90s! Even before the release of the prelogy, the Galaxy was blessed with a distant past, populated by Jedi and Sith! The style has aged, especially on the graphic side, but these are comics which are quite crazy rich, the graphic proposals for this ancient Galaxy are quite unique (and more coherent than a KotOR which transfers its aesthetic on the prelogy like if it took place a few decades before), we meet colorful characters with fascinating destinies, caught up in large-scale intrigues on a galactic scale which offer some of the most epic scenes I have ever seen given to read in this universe!

You will have understood, this volume 2 (and the next, which will complete the series) is a very warm recommendation from me! And without further ado, here is this week’s schedule!
