Roschdy Zem’s new project begins in Morocco, featuring an ultra-realistic and immersive thriller set in the south of the Kingdom. In this adaptation of the book by Mohamed Bida, directed by Martin Bourboulon (“The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan”, “The Three Musketeers: Milady”), the actor plays this French soldier who ordered the evacuation of the embassy from France to Afghanistan in August 2021, during the Taliban takeover, and coordinated the exfiltration of nearly 3,000 people to Kabul airport.

The cast also includes the Franco-Algerian actress Lyna Khoudri, who starred in the film “The French Dispatch”, by Wes Anderson, the Danish star Side Babette Knudsen, known for her role in the series “Borgen”, as well as as Christophe Montez, from the Comédie Française. The filming of this film, which promises to be thrilling, will continue in Morocco until August 2.

““13 days 13 nights”, is the breathtaking story of one of the most incredible exfiltration operations ever organized by France, but also the story of men and women whose destiny was shattered while they attempted to flee to survive… Roschdy Zem was an obvious choice for this role, having been associated with the project from the beginning of the writing process“, declared the director to the American media Deadline.

“This film is proving to be one of the most exciting challenges I have ever been given. First there is this character inspired by a real person, whose destiny intersects with the story itself. Secondly, the context of the flight from one’s own country left no one indifferent, thus leading us to a story within history, the one that interests us», explained Roschdy Zem about Mohamed Bida, son of Harkis who cut his teeth in the French police in 1982, before being appointed police commander during the fall of Kabul in August 2021.
