Before/After: what happened to the actors of Batman: The Challenge today?

Three years after the monumental cardboard of Batman, with Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson as the joker, Tim Burton is back for his sequel: Batman: The Challenge. A film in which the director ofEdward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas and Sleepy Hollow infuses it with all his art for strange creatures and gothic tales. Alongside Michael Keaton, also back in the Dark Knight, it is Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman, and the disturbing The Penguin (Danny Devito) who bursts the screen. Not enough, however, to ride on the success of its predecessor and its $400 million at the worldwide box office. What Warner will consider a semi-failure will mark the end of the filmmaker in the Batman universe. He will be replaced by Joel Schumacher.

Michael Keaton has superhero roles in his skin. After the two Batman films by Tim Burton, now 73 years old, he donned the costume of the Dark Knight in The Flash last year, after playing The Falcon in Spider-Man : Homecoming in 2018. It is on display this year in Beetlejuice 2in the same role he played more than 30 years ago.

#2 Catwoman/Selina Kyle – Michelle Pfeiffer

More recently, we saw him in Crime on the Orient Express then the first version of the Wasp in Ant-Man and the Wasp et Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Actor, director, comedian and film producer, Danny DeVito is a monument of cinema. We owe him roles in major films like in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest et L.A Confidential, avant that he does not find Tim Burton in Mars Attack, Big Fish, and the live-action of Dumbo. At 80, we saw him appear in the film Jumanji: Next Level, sequel to the film released in 2017.

#4 Max Shreck – Christopher Walken
