After ten years of unsuccessful attempts in theaters, DC and Warner Bros are starting from scratch with the superheroes of the comic book stable. The Woman of Tomorrow comic book serves as inspiration for this film which promises to contrast with what Warner has offered so far. Craig Gillespie, director of Me, Tonya And Cruella, is in charge. A bloody villain
Since this announcement, however, no other name has been added to the list. This is now the case. DC is in the process of recruiting the Belgian actor Matthias Schoenaerts according to Variety. More than ten years ago, when Zack Snyder was at the helm, Matthias Schoenaerts had been approached to portray none other than Batman. Snyder explained at the time that initial discussions had taken place, while Ben Affleck still had some reservations. The latter had finally accepted the mission, leaving Schoenaerts at the gates of the DCEU.
Note that, although he is promised a return, the Batman of the DCU of Gunn and Peter Safran has not yet been recruited. Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow must start its filming in a few weeks. It is in October that all the teams meet to immortalize the first adventures of Kara El. The release is planned for month of June 2026.
