An interesting trend. After a season marked by a battle at the top between Jorge Martin and Francesco Bagnaia for the title, MotoGP closed its doors for its winter break. It is therefore time to take stock. As reported Motorsportthe pilots have behaved well in recent months, with a decreasing number of crashes. Thus, 335 falls were recorded, or 23 fewer than in 2023, for almost the same number of races.
Bagnaia fell slightly but “badly”
Thus, 16.75 falls per weekend were recorded, compared to 17.9 in 2023. All while speed records are being broken. If we count it up, Pedro Acosta is the rider who had to lift his bike the most, with 28 falls during his rookie season. The Spanish nugget is ahead of a regular in the ranking in the person of Marc Marquez and his 24 falls. Pecco Bagnaia fell few times compared to the competition, but his 9 falls almost all occurred during the race, at crucial moments. Fabio Quartararo has the same number of falls and is one of the good students.
