Jorge Martin gives good feedback on the Aprilia, Massimo Rivola is delighted

2024 champion with Pramac Ducati, Jorge Martin has finally won his first coronation in the premier category. In the battle with his rival Francesco Bagnaia throughout this campaign, the Spaniard got off to the best possible start by separating from Ducati. While he was taken out by the number one Italian manufacturer, he managed to find refuge at Aprilia. Announced last June, during the race meeting at Mugello, the “Martinator” has changed status and is now part of an official team.

Last Tuesday, during pre-season testing, the Madrilenian took his first laps on the RS-GP handlebars. At the end of the 7 hours of driving planned for the day, the latter recorded a shy eleventh time, outside the top ten, sandwiched between Johann Zarco and Maverick Vinales. At the end of these tests, Jorge Martin gave good technical feedback to the engineers and chief mechanics. However, this season has not been easy for Aprilia: three victories on the clock in the United States, including two in sprints in Austin and Barcelona.

Good signs for 2025?

Questioned by crash.net, Massimo Rivola, boss of the Aprilia team, was delighted with the good technical feedback from Jorge Martin. Fearful of the results in view of this bleak 2024 season, the sporting director of the Italian brand showed his enthusiasm for the positive messages on the Motorcycle.

“The feeling was super positive. He gave us more positive feedback than we expected. There are things he likes and others that can be improved. We've seen him struggle with the bike at times, but we have a clear idea of ​​what he wants. The steering of the 2025 bike looks better than the 2024. We can still make progress in this direction. I saw a united team, and that made me very happy. We have a big challenge ahead of us. We not only want to be the main challengers of Ducati, but maybe also beat them.”
