Moto2 – Baltus sets himself one last objective before the Fantic adventure

After four years of collaboration, punctuated by ups and downs, Barry Baltus is preparing to compete in his last Grand Prix with the RW Racing GP team in Moto2. The Belgian, who will find refuge at Fantic Racing in 2025, is therefore determined to end on a positive note before beginning a delightful chapter in his career.

Barry Baltus' 2024 season was full of emotions, to say the least. This weekend, in Barcelona, this journey that was the 2024 season will end, as will his adventure within the RW Racing GP team. The Belgian will in fact compete in his last race with the team that has been with him for four years, before starting a new adventure in the intermediate class.

To conclude in style, the No. 7 insisted on his desire to return to a finish in the points, something he has not experienced since his seventh place during the Australian Grand Prix.

“This will be my last racing weekend with RW-Idrofoglia Racing GP and I am looking forward to getting a good result for them and for the four years we have had together, confides Barry Baltus on the sidelines of the event. I will do my best to achieve the best possible result and end this period in a good way. It will certainly be emotional, so let's enjoy the last Grand Prix together. »

As a reminder, next year Barry Baltus will join Aron Canet, 2024 world vice-champion in Moto2 within the Fantic Racing structure. A partnership that satisfies the Spaniard, who already sees things big for 2025.

“This year we finished second, and I am very happy for Fantic, but I also believe that with what we have built together we must dream even bigger and aim to win next year, adds n°44. We are like a family, and for me we are the best team in Moto2. I want to thank Fantic for everything they do for us, and we must continue to work hard to bring home the world title. »
