If all eyes are on the last Grand Prix of the season, Ducati is already preparing for next season. While Pecco Bagnaia still remains in contention to win a third title in a row, even if he is 24 points behind Jorge Martin, a completely different challenge awaits the Italian in the months to come. He will have as a new teammate a certain Marc Marquez, which promises a fight at the top for the title. Either way, both men should have an even better bike. In any case, this is what Michele Pirro believes, in an interview given to GPOne : “I expect him to get on it and say, 'OK, everything's a little better.' I don't expect him to go half a second faster, I expect him to say that everything is a little better, that his sensations are immediately the same, which will mean that we are not bad on the base. In any case, I don’t expect a revolution or anything in particular”.
“We found something” assures Pirro
Test rider for Ducati, Michele Pirro, who will be riding a VR46 for the last GP of the season, does not expect a revolution but “small improvements”: “We found something but it’s not easy. It would already be good to take a step comparable to the one between GP22 and GP23, a step forward which allows us to always be competitive. I believe that what makes the difference is to be competitive during the 20 races, and not just in some of them, but this year the GP24 demonstrated that it was competitive everywhere, which had not been perhaps not been the case between the GP22 and the GP23. »
