Brad Binder at the top of the timesheet, the ranking of the tests

Before ending the hostilities of this first day of work, the MotoGP riders went through the test session this Friday afternoon on the Motegi track in Japan. After a session disrupted by capricious weather conditions, during free practice one, clearings appeared. At the end of these sixty minutes of riding, it was Brad Binder who set the best time in 1:43:436. A very minimal lead over the second, Marc Marquez, the Gresini driver finished thirty-three thousandths of a second behind the South African. For the current championship leader, Jorge Martin crossed the finish line, third, one tenth from the leader, riding his Pramac.

In the last half hour, three men made mistakes, including Enea Bastianini, Jack Miller and Johann Zarco. The native finished seventeenth, more than a second from the lead. The Q2 ticket was not easy to win for the machines in the middle of the field. Not far from taking tenth time in the final minutes, Fabio Quartararo could not do better than fourteenth place.
