Gresini Racing driver Alex Marquez was unlucky in Indonesia, involved in a pile-up which deprived him of points. Now he heads to the Japanese Grand Prix with the intention of redeeming himself. During a recent interview, he shared his thoughts on his season, and didn’t mince his words.

This lack of points in the last races, particularly in
Aragon and in Indonesiais a source of frustration for him. “ We easily lost 20 points. If you look at the rankings, from 12th to 6th place, there are only a few points difference. It would have changed a lot of things. My goal is to finish in the top 8 at the end of the year. »

Motegihe admits his concern after his poor performance in Indonesia, but remains confident for the Japanese circuit: “ I only raced in MotoGP here once,
but I have already won three times on this circuitso I hope to do better than in Indonesia. »
On the differences between the GP23 and GP24 models, he notes that the GP23 seems to offer more traction, while the GP24 is better in corners. “ Each bike has its strengths, but it must also be recognized that those who ride the GP24 are the best riders on the grid.. »
Regarding the title battle between Jorge
Martin et Pecco Bagnaiahe believes that consistency will be key: “ the one who is the most consistent will win. Martin seems well placed, but the pressure from the leader is still difficult to manage. »
