MotoGP, Marco Bezzecchi thinks about his next Aprilia challenge: “Jorge Martin will be a formidable opponent, but also a motivation for me”

The countdown is on for Marco Bezzecchi. Confirmed to join the Aprilia factory team from 2025, the Italian will leave VR46-Ducati to team up with current MotoGP championship leader Jorge Martin. As the two riders prepare to don Aprilia’s black suit for a collaboration that will extend until 2026, Bezzecchi is already preparing to take on new challenges alongside a formidable teammate.

Pour Bezzecchithe passage to
Aprilia is a golden opportunity, finally giving him a factory contract, a dream for any driver. So far, he has evolved within the team VR46 with a Ducati of the previous year. The jump to RS-GPAprilia represents a major change, both in terms of material and organization.

If he is aware of the necessary adaptation,
Bezzecchi is confident. “ I have the impression that they brake very well and that they have
good traction. They seem to have
more grip in corners compared to the Ducati, even if their speed when entering turns seems inferior
», he analyzes after observing the pilots Aprilia current on track.

Marco Bezzecchi: « I hope I can build a good team around me at Aprilia »

An important point for Bezzecchi will be acclimatizing to his new technical team. Contrary to
Jorge Martinwho will bring with him his team leader Daniele Romagnoli de Pramac-Ducati,
Bezzecchi will have to team up with
Francesco Venturatocurrently an electronic engineer for Maverick Viñales. The Italian is, however, optimistic: “ I hope I can build a good team around me at Aprilia. I have always known how to adapt to othersand I think this will help me.
»

The first full-scale test for Bezzecchi
with the RS-GP will take place on November 19thduring post-season testing in Valencia. A key moment to get your bearings and confirm your first impressions of the machine. As for Jorge Martinhis participation in these trials will depend on his contractual situation with Ducatiwho could delay his release in the event of a world title.

And Bezzecchi is aware of the difficulty of facing a teammate as talented as
Martinhe sees this rivalry as an additional source of motivation: “ he will be a formidable opponent, but also a motivation for me “, he confides. Supported by the advice of Valentino Rossihis mentor and owner of the VR46 team, Bezzecchi
approaches this change with determination, ready to write a new chapter in his career at Aprilia.

Ensemble, Bezzecchi et Martin
embody the future ofAprilia
in MotoGP, with the ambition to lead the Italian brand to the top, challenging the powerful
Ducati and other contenders for the title.
