Pecco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini are ready to take on the challenge of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, which will take place this weekend at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. This 14th round of the 2024 MotoGP represents the second consecutive race at this circuit for the two Ducati riders. Bagnaia, a three-time world champion and currently just 7 points off the championship lead, will be hoping to bounce back after the first race at Misano. As for Bastianini, this will be his last time racing at home with Ducati, before joining KTM next season.
Pecco Bagnaia expressed his optimism for this second race at Misanohighlighting the improvement in his physical condition and the differences compared to the first race:
” We are back in Misano for the second time this year, but the conditions will be very different to those of two weeks ago. It will be coolerand we arrive after a day of testing. Physically I feel better than before Misano 1so we will have an advantage from the start. The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix also marks the start of a triple-header, so it will be crucial to do well at this point in the championship. »

For his part, Enea Bastianiniwho is hoping to shine in front of his home fans, says he is ready to fight for a podium after making progress in recent testing:
” Racing at home is always special, and this year we are lucky enough to be back for a second time. Temperatures will be lower and track conditions slightly different. During testing, we found a solution that allowed me to be fast with the medium rear tirewhat we lacked in Misano 1 to be able to aim for victory. Let’s see how this weekend goes, but I’m positive. »
This Grand Prix promises to be special, with
the main race scheduled for 1:00 p.m. to avoid a scheduling conflict with the Formula 1 race in Singapore. Both drivers Ducati will be keen to secure a good result as the end of the MotoGP season fast approaches.
