Outgoing president of the Chamber of Agriculture, Marc Poulot does not appear on any list. He says he is the victim of being sidelined by the FDSEA list. He saw it as a sanction in relation to managerial disputes within the Chamber of Agriculture. Explanations.
The lists for the Chamber of Agriculture elections are known and now distributed to voters. And the outgoing president, Marc Poulot, does not appear on the one that got him elected, six years ago, to the FDSEA list. He's not even in an ineligible position.
Marc Poulot says he was ousted by the FDSEA. During the presentation of the list of the majority union, Sébastien Riottot and Thierry Lahaye both explained that it was the result of a democratic vote with a primary where the members had chosen not to reappoint the outgoing president. . “The way this happened is anything but democratic. We have confused politics and electoral maneuvers,” says Marc Poulot, bitterly.
“I leave with the feeling of not having completed my action”
It was in September that he understood that a maneuver was underway to remove him. And for him, the cause is obvious: “I am criticized for not wanting to work with the director of the Chamber of Agriculture. I noticed some malfunctions. A collective complaint for moral harassment has been filed. A petition brought together 88% of the agents of the Chamber to demand his departure. And when I alerted the elected representatives of the House, they preferred to defend the director than the president. There was even a meeting between elected officials from Haute-Marne and Aube without my presence,” lists Marc Poulot.
Nobody moved
It's an open secret. There is indeed a management concern within the Chamber of Agriculture of Haute-Marne. Its director also directs the Chamber of Dawn since there is a common direction between the two consular structures. A collective complaint was filed by the former HR director and the former deputy director of the Chamber of Agriculture of Haute-Marne as well as other agents. “Everyone is aware of the situation but no one is moving,” comments an expert from the Chamber of Agriculture. There is a certain disconcerting omerta surrounding this situation.
-Marc Poulot had considered putting together a list for these elections to the Chamber of Agriculture, encouraged by other members and supporters. “I was asked in December to make a list with representatives of professional agricultural organizations and elected representatives of the Chamber. But I decided to protect myself,” he says. A term that says a lot about his psychological state and his great distrust.
A frustration to leave
However, Marc Poulot does not have to be ashamed of his commitment to the agricultural world. “I worked tirelessly both at the departmental and local level. And I find it regrettable that some elected officials from the “Fédé” see it differently,” he says. But it is said of him that he was a sometimes lonely president even if he could count on pillars such as Francis Populus, Philippe Girault, Agnès Aubertin. “I prefer to talk about those who were by my side than those who left me alone,” underlines the outgoing president.
Marc Poulot will leave his position not without remorse. “I leave with the feeling of not having completed my action. It’s a frustration,” he confides.
Like others, he notes “the quality of the programs presented by the lists present”, but he cannot have a more scathing view of the FDSEA list: “to have a purely union speech when running for the presidency of the Chamber of Commerce”. “agriculture seems simplistic to me.”
