After 9 years of a career as a Motorcycle rider without great results, Axel Pons radically changed his life. The man who now calls himself Isaac has been walking the roads for several years.
Axel Pons, son of Sito Pons and brother of Edgar, had everything to follow in his father's footsteps and perpetuate the family history in motorcycle sport. And the Catalan actually embraced an almost ordinary driving career for several years with 9 seasons in the world championship. Without being the most gifted in the paddock, Axel could undoubtedly have continued like this for a few more years, helped by his father who then owned one of the most important structures in the world championship. But he finally decided to hang up his gloves in 2018 at the age of 27 to turn to fashion for a while before leaving everything to go live on an island in Asia.
A place where he clearly found faith, which pushed him to travel the world barefoot! Axel has been walking for 3 years, and he notably managed to reach Barcelona and Parkistan in 15 months. Interviewed this summer, he then planned to continue his journey to India and then China. An unusual approach and a total change of life that he explains like this. “What was the point of living life at such a fast pace? I began to go slower and slower, until I began to move through the world slowly, appreciating the details of life. We only had the desire to perfect union with Allah or God, and this is our way of praying and practicing: walking.”
