The reigning MotoGP world champion found himself at the heart of a TV war. Thursday, in the RTVE show “La Revuelta”, the show “El Hormiguero” was directly denounced. David Broncano (“La Revuelta”) explained the situation before giving way to the guest, who ultimately was unable to appear.
The battle that exists between “La Revuelta” and “El Hormiguero” is already known to many, and it seems to be getting worse and worse. Thursday evening, something unexpected appeared on social media, with Jorge Martin as the main protagonist. After the appropriate celebrations in private, the recent world champion had planned a series of television appearances, including these two programs.
Thursday November 21, the Aprilia rider was scheduled to appear on the RTVE show “La Revuelta”. But everything changed when the Pablo Motos show announced next week's guests, including the rider concerned. After that, the pilot confirmed one of the worst news for David Broncano: he will not participate in his show “La Revuelta”.
“After so many years, it’s time to talk about it. Half an hour before the show started they told us that 'El Hormiguero' had discovered it. They don't want anyone to come here before they come there, and they've pulled their strings.”David Broncano began to explain clearly, before continuing, “They have their own way of putting pressure and Jorge told us he couldn't come. They did what they could do. He told us, 'I can't be on the show because certain things would happen.'”. Broncano thus pointed the finger at Pablo Motos and his famous program.
Until a few minutes after his entrance on stage, Jorge Martin was convinced of his appearance on the RTVE show “La Revuelta”. So much so that the Aprilia rider shared a photo on his social networks to inform his followers of his participation in the show, a photo that he was then forced to delete.
David Broncano said this isn't the first time this has happened: “This is not the first time this has happened today, which is why we decided to speak about it directly. The show broke us down because it ruined our work today. This has been going on since “La Resistencia”. Some guests have said so. There has always been this kind of play on their part.”
This could be considered one of the biggest competitive attacks between the two programs. There are many theories about this, but “El Hormiguero” released a statement on Thursday claiming that it was an error and a
“misunderstanding of no great importance”.
