MotoGP – The Valencia circuit ready to reopen its doors

Affected by the terrible floods which hit the Valencia region last month, and which notably led to the relocation of the last round of the MotoGP world championship, the Ricardo Tormo circuit has just been put back on its feet and will reopen in a few days .

The Ricardo Tormo circuit will reopen its doors on December 5. After the tragic floods which devastated part of the province of Valencia, the region's circuit was affected. The Minimoto circuit was unrecognizable, while the main access road to the infrastructure had collapsed.

Action will return to the Grand Prix track with a trackday booked by the German organization Bike Promotion and its customers. The latter will still be forced to access the Cheste facilities via an alternative route that avoids the main access, so the reconstruction will not yet be completed. The track itself was not damaged, and after analysis by technicians, it was declared safe and fit for use.

Since the floods, three major events have been canceled at the Ricardo Tormo circuit. The final of the MotoGP World Championship, which was to be held on the weekend of November 15-17, instead of the Barcelona Solidarity Grand Prix. But also the official Formula E test from November 4 to 7, and the last round of the FIM JuniorGP from November 22 to 24.

The filming of a film and car racing test sessions scheduled for the last week of November and the first week of December, as well as various activities throughout the month of December, will also not be able to take place. The cancellation of these events will allow maintenance work to continue so that this episode will only be a bad memory for the circuit in 2025.
