Big day for MotoGP, with the 2025 pre-season test, on the Barcelona track. Because there were, in particular, two sensations to follow today. Namely, the first laps of Jorge Martin with Aprilia as well as the debut of Marc Marquez within the official Ducati Team.

MotoGP: Martin already in the rhythm, Vinalès too

In addition to these two events, other riders also discovered new machines, like Maverick Vinalès, quite impressive on the KTM, but also Enéa Bastianini, Marco Bezzecchi and even Jack Miller and Miguel Oliveira. In addition, Aleix Espargaro was making his mark with the Honda, as part of his retirement as a test and development driver for the Japanese manufacturer.

It’s a historic moment, here is Marc Marquez riding the official Ducati in MotoGP – Le Mag Sport Auto

And of course, there were also new riders making their debut, coming from Moto2. With Fermin Aldeguer, at Gresini-Ducati, Somkiat Chantra, at LCR-Honda and Ai Ogura, at Trackhouse-Aprilia. Obviously, the times are not significant, between the sessions with the old and new bikes (2025) as well as the numerous parts and settings tested during this day.

However, Alex Marquez stood out with the best time while Fabio Quartararo finished second. For his part, Johann Zarco sets the tenth time. Marc Marquez, with the latest generation Ducati, takes fourth place. Finally, Jorge Martin did very well, placing eleventh, just ahead of Maverick Vinalès.
