Don’t miss the partial lunar eclipse in Tunisia!

A partial lunar eclipse will take place on September 18, 2024 and will be visible in Tunisia (at dawn) and in certain parts of the world, including in the countries of North and South America and in some countries of Africa, Europe and the Atlantic Ocean, said the head of scientific spaces at the City of Sciences Naoufel Maaouia.

He pointed out that this eclipse occurs for the second time this year in Tunisia and will last for 1 hour. It will start at 3:15 am and end at 4:15 am and will be visible to the naked eye.

On this occasion, the City of Sciences in Tunis is organizing, starting Wednesday, September 11, scientific and educational workshops for a week on the partial lunar eclipse.

In addition, scientific workshops will be held daily until September 17, with an average of two workshops per day intended for the general public and students interested in astronomical phenomena.

The partial lunar eclipse will be broadcast live from 2 a.m. on the page of the City of Sciences in Tunis, while fans of astronomical phenomena will be welcomed at the headquarters of the city to learn live about the different phases of the eclipse.
