After Amouta… Salami rises up against “abuse” after leading Jordan to a landslide victory over Amman

Jamal Salami said during the press conference that followed the aforementioned confrontation: “I thank the fans of the Jordanian national team for their attendance and support, despite the lackluster appearance against South Korea in the last match. We would like to thank them for this presence. We deserve their presence, and we hope that they will always be our support.”

The former Raja coach added: “We were fully prepared, and we were aware of the extent of the responsibility. We knew what we could do against Oman, and the goals we scored were at important periods.”

He continued: “I thank the players for the effort they made. “It is not easy to show such great performance after failure and criticism.”

Jamal Al-Salami said: “We have been working with the national team for some time with the aim of developing the players’ performance. The first gathering is usually accompanied by obstacles, and one of the challenges we face is that we have players active in different leagues in terms of level and competitiveness. We stumbled in the Kuwait match, and with time we presented a distinguished performance against Palestine. We returned to the same problem, where we stumbled against South Korea, and then we came back with a big victory over Oman, and what I would like to say is that our goal is clear, which is to reach the World Cup.”

He explained: “As I said before, we urgently need time for the players to understand what is required of them. Today we did not change much in the lineup, as we only fielded Bayzan Al-Naimat and Mohamed Abu Al-Nadi from the beginning, so our problem was not with the lineup, but we got the most time as the players absorbed what was required.” “More of them after the Korea match.”

Jamal Al-Salami continued: “The presence of an exceptional player like Yazan Al-Naimat contributed to achieving this victory, as he is a player capable of completing the group’s effort as it should be. It is true that Al-Taamari was absent and had an impact, but the presence of Yazan, Ali Alwan, and Mardi contributed to filling the void.”

Jamal Al-Salami expressed his dissatisfaction with the criticism that Al-Nashama players were subjected to in the last stage, where he said: “Criticism is an element of sports, but we are in favor of constructive criticism that is devoid of any obscene language against players who have families, and I personally do not have any accounts on Facebook. Or Instagram, but what we ask of the fans is to respect this group because they deserve it.”

With his second victory in the qualifiers, Jamal Salami led the Al-Nashama team to second place with 7 points, superior on goal difference to the third Iraqi team in the standings of Group Two.
