MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Cool temperatures are on the way over the next few days. We have a trough of low pressure swinging in from the northeast today.

What’s Coming Up…

This trough will keep some scattered clouds around during the day, and we could even pick up a spotty shower or two by late afternoon and into tonight. Totals will be limited to a few one-hundredths of an inch.

Wind will be lighter than it was over the weekend, but still out of the northwest. High temperatures will only manage 50s across the region over the next few days with low temperatures dipping down to around or below freezing. A Frost Advisory or a Freeze Warning is expected to be posted for both tonight and tomorrow night for a portion of southern Wisconsin.

Looking Ahead…

Frosty conditions will encompass almost all of southern Wisconsin Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

At that point, low temperatures are expected to dip into the 20s and low 30s across all of southern Wisconsin. After that, sunshine will be in the picture for the remainder of the week as well as warmer temperatures. Highs will return to the 60s and even 70s by the end of the week.
