Weather Alert. Heavy thunderstorms, accompanied by hail and gusts of wind, from this Saturday to Monday in several provinces

Locally heavy thunderstorms (from 20 to 60 mm), accompanied by hail and gusts of wind (from 70 to 85 km/h), are expected, from this Saturday to Monday, October 14, in several provinces of the Kingdom, announced the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) in an “orange” vigilance level alert bulletin.

Stormy showers (20 to 40 mm) affect the provinces of Essaouira, Safi, Sidi Bennour and El Jadida this Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The same phenomenon is expected, on Sunday October 13, from 00:00 to 10:00, in the provinces of Tangier-Assilah, Tétouan, Mdiq-Fnideq, Fahs-Anjra, Larache, Kénitra, Chefchaouen and Ouezzane, added the DGM.

Showers (from 30 to 50 mm) will affect, still on Sunday, from 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., the provinces of El Kelaa des Sraghna, Al Haouz, Chichaoua, Marrakech, Rehamna, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, Taroudant, Tata and Assa-Zag, continues the same source.

The provinces of Tinghir, Midelt, Errachidia, Zagora, Ouarzazate, Tata and Taroudant will experience stormy showers (40 to 60 mm) on Monday October 14 from 12:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Finally, on the same day, from 00:00 to 21:00, locally strong wind gusts (70 to 85 km/h) are expected in the provinces of Figuig, Jerada, Guercif, Taourirt, Boulmane and Midelt.
