After the storm, Lower Saxony expects a change in the weather. A surprising weather forecast shows: After a frosty night, summer will soon return.

Bremen/Hannover – Surprising weather news from the north: After the ex-hurricane “Kirk” caused constant rain, thunderstorms and storms, the weather in Lower Saxony is expected to get better in the coming days. Experts are initially reporting frost, but a jump in temperature next week is expected to bring about a small return to summer.

Short summer return? Weather in Lower Saxony will cause surprises in the coming week

The storm, which has already caused strong gusts and a risk of flooding on the coast, is slowly moving on. This is what the meteorologists from the German Weather Service (DWD) report. The “Ex-Kirk” depression is moving from the Gulf of Bothnia to the North Cape. That’s why cooler sea air flows to Lower Saxony and Bremen, but from Friday evening the state is expected to gradually come under the influence of a short intermediate high.

The outlook for the north confirms this. The weather in Lower Saxony will be variable cloudy on Friday, with rain showers in particular in the northern half. The maximum temperatures are 13 degrees. On Saturday night it will be partly cloudy, partly clear, and there will still be isolated showers on the islands. The lowest temperatures on the islands are 10 degrees, otherwise 3 degrees. In unfavorable locations in the mountains and the Lüneburg Heath there can be light frost around 0 degrees, according to the meteorologists.

Then it remains changeable for now. Saturday is expected to be cloudy but mostly dry. The maximum daily temperatures are between 11 and 14 degrees. The weather in Lower Saxony on Sunday will feature strong regional showers. The maximum temperatures are 13 degrees. And Monday will also be cloudy, with occasional precipitation. The daily maximum temperatures are 12 degrees.

Weather experts predict a jump in temperature after frost – from 0 to 25 degrees in Lower Saxony

But then there will probably be an enormous jump in temperature, according to the experts. As the trend forecast from the DWD shows, temperatures will continue to climb from next Monday. In and around Bremen the temperature will already reach the 20 degree mark from Tuesday. On Wednesday it can even reach 25 degrees. Only a little rain is possible. However, from Thursday onwards the temperatures are expected to gradually fall again.

The meteorologists at wetter.net are also predicting a jump in temperature next week. However, this is not quite as generous. On Tuesday it will still be 13 degrees in and around Bremen. Then on Wednesday it was 16 degrees and on Thursday it was 17 degrees. It is expected to remain partly cloudy.
