COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – We’re expecting some strong winds Thursday as Hurricane Milton moves east over the Atlantic Ocean.

  • Winds gust up to 35mph for portions of the Midlands Thursday.
  • Skies are sunny and temperatures cooler for the rest of the week!
  • Lows are in the upper 40s to mid 40s Friday and Saturday morning.

Tonight we have clouds throughout most of the night as Milton makes its way through Florida. By the early morning we see skies clear up with lows dipping down to the upper 50s.

Thursday is windy. In fact, the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory that begins at 4am and lasts to 8pm. Sustained winds will be around 10-20mph with gusts up to 35mph. Expect sunny skies with high temps reaching the mid 70s.

Friday morning we have upper 40s and highs reach the low 70s. High pressure is sitting to our north. and will keep us sunny and dry throughout the day. Saturday is a bit cooler in the morning as lows dip to the mid 40s and highs reach the upper 70s by the afternoon.

Sunday is warmer with low 80s with sunny skies. Just really a gorgeous weekend in store.
