Perfect weather in the Valley, catastrophic storm in the Gulf | News

Milton set to reintensify to a cat 5 hurricane later today

The Tennessee Valley is the beneficiary of some of the best weather conditions we’ve seen in months!

Both today, and all the way through Saturday, we’ll keep sunny skies, pleasant breezes out of the north, and virtually non-existent humidity. Morning temperatures will be quite cold each day, sitting near 50, high temperatures will reach to about 80 each afternoon.

Sunday is much warmer with a high temperature of almost 90 but it is very short lived, as a cold front comes into the region Sunday night and makes us even cooler than before.

Monday through much of next week will feature high temperatures in the upper 60s and low 70s with morning temperatures in the mid-40s! If you were hoping for colder temperatures…you most definitely got your wish!

Hurricane Milton is preparing to yet again strengthen into a Category 5 by this afternoon. It will only stay there briefly and will downgrade to a Category 3 prior to making landfall near Tampa Bay, FL. Landfall is expected around 2am Thursday morning.

TUESDAY: Sunny, breezy. Highs near 80. Wind: N 5-10 mph, gusts 25 mph.

TONIGHT: Clear skies. Lows in the low 50s. Wind: NE 5-10 mph.
