Conor McGregor has trashed Kevin Holland for pulling out of his fight with Roman Dolidze.
Holland appeared to break his rib during a scramble at the end of the opening round and retired on his stool.
The middleweight contender was in agony as he made his way back to his corner, prompting coach Bob Perez to call the fight.
Perez’s decision was commended by the UFC commentary team but former dual-weight world champion McGregor didn’t see it the same way.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, he wrote: “Didn’t even f***ing try? Nah that is ridiculous!
“Go out again and see how it is. If it folds up again then you end it with the towel.
“Nah that’s not it for me folks. Holland is a solid veteran he well should have went out and gave it a shot to see how he was. Wrong move.”
McGregor hasn’t competed in MMA since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
He was slated to return to the Octagon on June 29 in the main event of UFC 303 against Michael Chandler in a welterweight bout.
However, McGregor pulled out of the contest after suffering a toe injury in sparring.
Chandler has since been matched up with Charles Oliviera in November while the Irishman is still without a fight.
McGregor and Chandler pushed for their long-awaited outing to be re-scheduled for December but Dana White insisted his marquee superstar wouldn’t return to action until 2025.

Speaking to DAZN last month, McGregor said: “It will be 2025. We will see.
“My opponent that I had scheduled… it is what it is. I take it on board and rock on.
“My job is to go to the gym and be in shape, whenever it is and wherever it is. I will be 100 per cent ready.”

McGregor has two fights remaining on his UFC deal.
After his contract is up, ‘Notorious’ has expressed an interest in dipping his toe into bare-knuckle boxing.
He became a co-owner of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) in April and has described himself as a ‘player manager’.
