The Minister of Education, Nour El-Din Al-Nouri, on Friday renewed his “commitment to taking the necessary measures to improve the conditions for teachers to perform their duties and develop their competencies by providing opportunities for participation and training and keeping up with pedagogical and cognitive developments.”
The Minister also referred, in the same letter, to the Ministry’s completion of processing the contractors’ file with the aim of ending “all forms of precarious employment by adopting fair, transparent and objective standards to ensure financial and social stability and guarantee the pedagogical balance of the educator.”
It is noteworthy that the declaration of October 5, 1994, as International Teachers’ Day commemorated the signing of the joint recommendation issued by the International Labor Organization and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1966, and this year it was established under the slogan “Valuing the Voices of Teachers.”
