The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced that the first day of the month of Rabi’ al-Akhir for the year 1446 AH is the day after tomorrow, Saturday, October 5, 2024 AD.
The Ministry stated in a report that it observed the crescent of the month of Rabi’ al-Akhir for the year 1446 AH, after sunset on Thursday, 29 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1446 AH, corresponding to October 3, 2024 AD, and it was confirmed to it that its sighting had not been confirmed.
The following is the text of the ministry’s statement:
“The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs informs male and female citizens that it observed the crescent of the month of Rabi’ al-Akhir for the year 1446 AH after sunset on Thursday, 29 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1446 AH, corresponding to October 3, 2024 AD. It contacted all representatives of Islamic affairs in the Kingdom, and the units of the Royal Armed Forces contributing to observing the crescent, They all confirmed to her that his sighting had not been confirmed, and therefore, the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal would have completed thirty days, and the beginning of the month of Rabi’ al-Akhir would be Saturday, October 5, 2024 AD.
