“We’re going to see what the real right is!” says Aurélien Rousseau, for whom there has been “no attempt to engage in discussion” with the left.

“We’re going to see what the real right is!” launched the deputy Aurélien Rousseau (NFP), Sunday, on Franceinfo, describing the new government of Michel Barnier as a government “right-wing, who no longer pretends to be ambidextrous”, notably with the appointment of Bruno Retailleau to the interior.

Regarding the appointment of Dider Migaud, a former member of the Socialist Party, to justice, Mr. Rousseau denounces a “ fairly easy maneuver » For “to give the feeling that there is a diverse left.”This does not fool anyone, it will not change the policy and direction chosen by this government,” he believes however.

“There was no attempt on the part of the President of the Republic to initiate a discussion” with the left, denounces the former Macronist minister. For him, Emmanuel Macron “refuses alternation, particularly on economic and social policy”, and made the “ political choice of continuity”not without a “right turn”.

Asked about the pension reform, the man who had been the architect of the negotiations with the right during this contested reform under Elisabeth Borne insisted on the need to conclude an agreement with the unions. “We missed the dialogue with the social partners”he acknowledged, while reiterating that“We need reform.” “This country is dying from having the people on one side and the politicians on the other.”he further denounced.
