The summit of Maghreb de Fes and Wydad Casablanca ended in the first round of the professional football league, which took place today at the Hassan II Stadium, with the “yellow” team winning by one goal to none.
The first half started with a debate between the two teams, with Wydad Athletic Club dominating most of the game.
The ball was mostly confined to the middle of the field, without finding solutions to reach the net from both sides.
In stoppage time of the first half, Hamza Al-Janati, a player for Maghreb Fez, succeeded in scoring against Abdelali Al-Mohammadi, but the goal was disallowed due to offside.
The beginning of the second half witnessed strong pressure from Wydad on the Maghreb de Fes arena, but without achieving anything new.
Minutes before the end of the match (95th minute), Hamza Al-Janati managed to score the winning goal for Maghreb Fez from the penalty spot.
With this victory, MAS Fez added three points to its account, while Wydad’s balance remained empty.
