Exclusive to “Laha” – Elham Shaheen settles the controversy over her statement about prayer

Actress Elham Shaheen has been subjected to a wave of criticism in recent days due to her recent statements about prayer and her refusal to stop work under the pretext of prayer.

In a special statement to Laha, Elham Shaheen responded to the criticism she has been subjected to, saying: “I have been subjected to criticism all my life, and I no longer care about it or give it more value than it deserves.”

She continued: “My opinion about praying during work hours will not change. Work is worship and prayer should not be an excuse to disrupt it. Just as I was subjected to criticism, there are many fans who were keen to support me and stand by me during this crisis.”

Recently, a video clip spread on social media in which Elham Shaheen appeared talking about one of the directors who used to leave work during prayer times, which caused filming to be delayed in this work, which prompted a large number of the audience to criticize her.

Ilham responded to these criticisms, confirming that her statements about the director who used to leave work during every prayer time were not recent, but rather she made them 25 years ago, in a seminar.

She said: “The Brotherhood is behind the publication of this video now,” and added: “A clear Brotherhood campaign is behind the publication of the video, and it is clear that I have tired them out and that they are very concerned with me and my opinions… and my name is selling to them.”

It is worth noting that Elham Shaheen’s latest artistic work is the series “Alfredo”, which is taken from one of the stories in the novel “55 Love Problems” by Dr. Mustafa Mahmoud. It achieved great success when it was shown, and co-starred: Ahmed Fahmy, Nada Moussa, Iman El-Sayed, Omar Sharqi…, and the writing was supervised by Amr Mahmoud Yassin, and it was directed by Essam Nassar.
