Good news for Wydad Casablanca. In a statement, the red club announced the lifting of its recruitment ban imposed by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) and the National Professional Football League.
WAC will now be able to register its new arrivals before the match against Moghreb of Fez, scheduled for this Friday at the Hassan II stadium in Fez, for the first day of the national championship.
According to Hesport, Wydad had settled all of its disputes last Monday, which had been definitively resolved, in order to lift the ban on registering its new players recruited during the current summer transfer period.
Wydad paid approximately 5.67 million dirhams accumulated for litigation files which were definitively settled, following a meeting with the professional league.
The Reds paid nearly 5.67 million dirhams to settle their disputes, including the claims of Sofiane Karkach (3.1 million dirhams), the outstanding debts with Hassania d’Agadir (1.14 million dirhams), the claims of the Belgian club Kortrijk in the context of the transfer of Lamkel Ze (1.1 million dirhams), as well as the debts to Yahya Nadrani (160,000 dirhams) and Cartier Dembélé (170,000 dirhams).
Wydad recruited 14 players this summer, namely goalkeeper Abdelali El Mouhammadi, defenders Nabil Marmouk, Ayman Derani, Mohamed Moufid, Zakaria Nasik, midfielders Hamza Sakhi, Brazilian Pedrinho, Ismaïl Benktib, and forwards Mouad Anzou, Zakaria Ghailan, Nassim Echadli, Walid Nassi, Mohamed Rahimi, and Cassius Mailula.
