Moroccan Aymane El Haddaoui won the bronze medal in the 100m (T47) event at the Paralympic Games in Paris on Friday.

El Haddaoui covered the distance in 10.78 seconds, behind the Brazilian Petrucio Ferreira dos Santos, winner of the race in 10.68 and the American Korban Best (10.75).

This is Morocco’s first medal in this edition.

In a statement to MAP, Aissa Dghoughi, El Haddaoui’s coach, indicated that the race was very competitive, noting that the 100m is not the preferred distance of the Moroccan, who specializes in the 400m.
