West Ham United and Real Sociedad have reached an agreement in principle for Nayef Aguerd, according to Noticias de Gipuzkoa.

The Spanish outlet reported on its website on Friday (30 August) that the two clubs have agreed on a £1.7million loan deal for the Moroccan international, should the paperwork for the deal be completed in time.

Aguerd is reportedly keen on making the temporary move to La Liga before the transfer window slams shut [Santi Aouna, 30 August]having already rejected a last-minute move to the Saudi Pro League with Al-Ittihad [Santi Aouna, 30 August].

This deal has moved incredibly quickly over the last few days of the summer transfer window, but the most important thing from a Hammers’ perspective now is the fact that it appears like the building blocks are in place for it to be completed.

While nothing can be confirmed until some sort of official confirmation emerges from either club, there appears to be an agreement between the two clubs with the only thing hanging in the balance is the paperwork.

Although the transfer deadline is only a matter of hours away, there is still plenty of time for any last-minute details to be ironed out. If both clubs want this deal to be finalised, everything is in place for them to do it.

£1.7million is a good amount of money for Julen Lopetegui’s side to pocket in terms of a loan deal. Partner that with the fact the Irons will have offloaded a lot of his wages which could help them comply with PSR.
