Rapper Rich Homie Quan has died at age 34.

TMZ reported the platinum-selling rapper, whose real name is Dequantes Devontay Lamar, died Sept. 5 in his Atlanta home.

Lamar’s cause of death is unknown at this time.

The Fulton County medical examiner confirmed the death, saying in a statement that they were notified by Grady Memorial Hospital of the death of Dequantes Devontay Lamar. An autopsy has been scheduled for Friday.

The performer, born Oct. 4, 1989, started officially releasing music in 2012 before earning his first major hits the following year with the “Type of Way” as well as a feature on YG’s “My N—-” with Jeezy.

He’s since earned further chart hits with “Walk Thru” with Problem and “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)” — his highest-charting solo single on the Billboard Hot 100 — as well as “Ride Out” with Kid Ink, Tyga, Wale and YG, “Lifestyles” with Young Thug and “Save Dat Money” with Lil Dicky and Fetty Wap.

His debut album, Rich as in Spiritwas released in March 2018 and peaked at No. 32 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Throughout his career, Lamar also collaborated with artists including Rick Ross, Keke Palmer, Jeremih, Future, Boosie BadAzz, Gucci Mane and 2 Chainz, among others.

Lamar is father to four sons — two shared with Amber “Rella” Williams, plus two from a previous relationship, according to Bckonline.

Shortly after news broke of Lamar’s death, the rapper received tributes from multiple fellow artists online.

Boosie, 41, acknowledged reports of an overdose causing Lamar’s death in a series of posts shared to X (formerly Twitter).

“JUST TALKED TO YOU BRA,” he wrote in another post. “#tipQUAN Never go forget yo smile n the way talked n of course yo music.”

In a follow-up post, Boosie added, “WE GOT SOME GOOD ASS MEMORIES TOGETHER N THAT GO ALWAYS BRING A SMILE TO MY FACE #restupquan WE WAS COOKING UP SOME S— TOO.”

Fellow rapper Playboi Carti paid tribute by sharing several videos of Lamar to his Instagram Story.
