Our Moroccan News – Abdel-Ilah With a cloud

Social media sites were filled with a shocking photo of the beloved artist “Manal Al-Siddiqi”, documenting the seriousness of the injury she sustained while filming a movie in the city of Kenitra. The stories differed and multiplied, which opened the door to interpretations and rumors wide open regarding the causes of this incident.

In an effort to uncover the truth of what happened, Akhbarona website was able to contact the artist Manal Al-Siddiqi yesterday evening, Sunday, after a series of failed attempts, given her health condition, which previously did not allow her to respond to our repeated phone calls.

In the same context, Al-Siddiqi confirmed that, thank God, she is gradually recovering, noting that she has relatively passed the danger stage, before confirming that she returned to the filming studio yesterday, Sunday, in order to resume her work, as a form of gratitude and expression of deep thanks to the producer of the film work who treated her with high-class humane treatment after she was exposed to the accident.

Returning to the backstage of this incident, the artist “Manal Al-Siddiqi” confirmed that she was exposed to a sudden and dangerous fall while filming an interior scene (in a house), while descending the stairs, which necessitated her being rushed to a private clinic in the city of Kenitra, where it was found that she had suffered a fracture in her left hand, and a number of bruises on her nose, face and head.

In a related context, Al-Siddiqi stressed that she decided, out of her own desire, to return to the filming set, after she learned that the producer had decided to stop filming this movie until she recovered. She said in this regard: “I decided to return to filming so that I would not cause the producer additional financial loss.” She continued: “The man treated me with high-class treatment since I was injured, and covered all the treatment and medical expenses, in addition to providing a hotel for my brother who came from Martil to support me in this ordeal.”

The brilliant artist added, “It is not possible for a man to treat me with such elegance and for me to be the reason for stopping filming. For this reason, I returned yesterday, Sunday, and filmed some scenes, after they covered my bruises with makeup. Even though the producer refused, I insisted on working, even though my hands were crushed.”

Al-Siddiqi concluded her interview with Akhbarona by extending her sincere thanks to the producer, director, and all the crew members who treated her with high-class treatment and special care, noting that this ordeal, as difficult as it was, left in her memory touching moments that she will never forget, the title of which is humanity above all else.
