According to well-informed sources cited by Hesport, Wydad Casablanca received a request preventing the registration of its new recruits because of an amount owed to the French club Brest, estimated at 300 million centimes.
According to the same sources, this amount represents a difference added in the context of the transfer of Achraf Dari. The Brest administration requested the reimbursement of this sum, to which the current Wydad administration reacted quickly. It is expected that the file will be settled in the coming hours after the amount in question is sent to the French club.
Last Monday, Wydad settled all of its disputes that had been the subject of final decisions, in order to lift the ban on registering its new players recruited during the current summer transfer window.
The club had paid around 567 million centimes for its disputes, after a meeting with the Professional League. This amount included arrears owed to Sofiane Karkach (310 million), debts to Hassania Agadir (114 million), sums owed to the Belgian club Kortrijk for the transfer of Lamkel Ze (110 million), as well as debts to Yahya Naderani (16 million) and Cartier Dembélé (17 million).
