Our Galatasaray was the guest of Adana Demirspor in the 4th week of the Trendyol Super League. The match played at the New Adana Stadium ended with our 5-1 lead.

Our goals were scored by Kerem Aktürkoğlu (9′), Semih Güler kk (18′), Barış Alper Yılmaz (31′), Dries Mertens (37′) and Abdülkerim Bardakcı (60′). The opponent’s only goal was scored by Andrew Gravillon from a penalty in the 79th minute.

Our Lions started the league with three wins in three matches and increased their points to 9. Our Galatasaray won its 11th consecutive away match in the league.

WE SCORED GOAL IN THE FIRST HALF

Our team started the match with enthusiasm and showed its attacking power in the first 45 minutes, and achieved a score that was difficult for the opponent to turn back from. In the 9th minute, Kerem Aktürkoğlu followed the goalkeeper’s mistake well in the long ball sent by Metehan Baltacı behind the defense and sent the ball over the line with his touch: 0-1.

Our team came with Barış Alper again after the ball was passed behind the defense and Mertens got the ball after he turned the ball in. Semih Güler made a wrong touch on the Belgian’s shot from near the penalty area line and we scored our second goal in the 18th minute: 0-2.

In the 25th minute, Mauro Icardi was injured and could not continue the game, and was replaced by Michy Batshuayi.

In our team’s fast attack, which skillfully went behind the defensive line, Kerem Aktürkoğlu left the ball well into Barış Alper Yılmaz’s running path. Barış got in close to the ball and scored our third goal over the young goalkeeper Eren: 0-3.

The final of the first half was made by the masterful Mertens. The Belgian star, who made himself forgotten at the back post, hit Batshuayi’s perfect cross with a very classy shot with the inside of his foot. The ball that hit the post went into the net again: 0-4. The first half ended with our 4-0 lead.

Batshuayi, who received a deep pass in the second half and got behind the defense, scored a goal past the goalkeeper before the first minute was up, but the goal was disallowed for offside.

Adana Demirspor entered two consecutive positions with Bünyamin Balat but could not get a result. Muslera was also successful in a shot from outside the penalty area by Aimbetov. Adana team brought Yusuf Sarı together with Semih’s pass behind the defense but Muslera was careful again.

In the 60th minute, we continued to increase the difference with Abdülkerim Bardakcı’s header after Mertens sent the ball in from the corner: 0-5.

In the 62nd minute, Muslera’s long punt saved the ball very well from his opponent and found a shooting angle, but his shot went high and out. Before this position, a penalty was given to the opponent’s side because Abdülkerim had handled the ball in the penalty area. Muslera made a great save from the corner from Yusuf Sarı’s penalty.

Kerem Aktürkoğlu came within a whisker of scoring in the 68th minute after Mertens’ wonderful cross, but his header went wide of the post.

In the 70th minute, Torreira and Kerem Aktürkoğlu left the game and Berkan Kutlu and Yunus Akgün joined in. In the 76th minute, we started our attack with Yunus from the right wing and found Berkan in the penalty area with passes. His attempt to place the ball to the far corner went out of bounds.

In the 77th minute, Gravillon came to the white spot after another interesting penalty decision. Muslera also touched this shot but it went into the net: 1-5.

In the 82nd minute, Efe Akman and Yusuf Demir entered the game. Barış Alper Yılmaz and Kerem Demirbay were the names that came out. As the end approached, Yusuf Demir was about to head a ball into the goal after Mertens’ cross from the left, but he was hit in the head by the opponent’s dangerous move. Tolga Kalender received a red card for this move, while goalkeeper Deniz saved Batshuayi’s penalty kick. The match ended with our 5-1 lead.

After the international break, we will prepare for the game against Çaykur Rizespor, which we will play at home in the league.
