During the Government Council held this Thursday, September 12, Driss Bencheikh was officially appointed Director General of the Office des Changes. This appointment marks an important step for the institution, which will benefit from Mr. Bencheikh’s experience and expertise.

An economist by training, Driss Bencheikh began his career within the Inspection of the Office of Changes as an inspector. In May 2011, he was promoted to head of the Audit and Management Control department, before becoming Secretary General of the Office in 2016. Since last March, he has been acting as interim for the former Director General, Hassan Boulaknadel, who was appointed CEO of the Moroccan Interprofessional Pension Fund (CIMR).

The meeting of the Government Council was also an opportunity to present a sectoral presentation and discuss several draft legislative texts, as well as proposals for appointments to senior positions, in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.

Thus, within the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Driss Bencheikh was confirmed in his position as Director General of the Office of Change. Furthermore, at the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Khalil Amghrfaoui was appointed Director of the Higher School of Education and Training in El Jadida, while Khalil El Zainbi was appointed Director of the Higher School of Technology in Kalaat Sraghna.
