The draw for the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup, which was drawn today, Monday, in Cairo, included the Nahdet Berkane team, the only Moroccan representative in the competition after the exclusion of the Ittihad Tawarka team from the preliminary round, in the second group.
The draw resulted in the “Orange Club” facing the clubs of the Financial Stadium, South Africa’s Stellenbosch, and Angola’s Luanda Sul. It is expected that the group stage competition for the “CAF Cup” will begin next November.
Nahdet Berkane lost the title of the last edition to Zamalek of Egypt after losing in the final second leg with a clean goal, while the first leg ended with the victory of the Berkane team by two goals to one.
RS Berkane advanced to the group stage after defeating Daddji of Benin in the second preliminary league with seven clean goals in the aggregate of the two matches.
