As the end of summer approaching, a special period is announced for Morocco, marked by weather phenomena unusual. For next week, the DGM again predicts “an exceptional rise in Front Intertropical (FIT) in the southern regions“.

This system, which usually moves north and south depending on the seasonscould bring with him weather conditions potentially violent.

The Front Intertropical is a meteorological phenomenon complex, where the warm and humid air masses of tropical regions meet the masses d’air cooler than temperate regions, explains the DGM. This rise of the FITadds the same source, will cause a meeting between these different air masses and could trigger locally violent thunderstormsespecially in the southern provincesTHE reliefs de l’Atlas and its slopes.

In addition to the risk of thunderstormsthis particular weather situation will be accompanied by a rising temperaturesespecially in the interior regions of the country, concludes Morocco Weather.
