West Ham are in talks to strike a surprise deadline day deal with their old European foes and it looks like a no-brainer for all concerned.

There are just 12 hours remaining for West Ham to get deals done in the summer window.

The deadline is 11pm on Friday night and West Ham want to try and bring in Carlos Soler from PSG and – potentially one other too.

Rumours refuse to go away regarding a late Hammers move for Villa striker Jhon Duran.

Arrivals are entirely dependent on outgoings at the London Stadium, though.

West Ham have made it abundantly clear to a number of stars that they have no future under Julen Lopetegui.

Kurt Zouma, Maxwel Cornet and James Ward-Prowse are on their way out of West Ham on deadline day.

Zouma is in Saudi finalising his move while Cornet has a choice between Southampton and Palace for a season-long loan.

Ward-Prowse has said his goodbyes and is on his way to join Nottingham Forest on loan for the season.

West Ham in talks with Fiorentina over Aguerd deal

That should facilitate Soler joining West Ham on loan with an obligation to buy.

But further departures could free up space and wages for one more.

So there is promising news emerging from Italy over a last ditch transfer.

Because West Ham are in talks over a no-brainer deadline day deal with their old European foes.

Hammers News reported yesterday that Tensions were reaching boiling point between West Ham and Nayef Aguerd.

That’s because the Moroccan was refusing to leave despite a host of top clubs vying for his signature.

No-brainer move could be vital for Hammers on deadline day

It was claimed by a top club insider that Aguerd is ‘waiting for a bigger club’ to move for him.

The defender reportedly deems interest from Porto, Villarreal, Real Sociedad, Wolves and Saudi Arabia beneath his talents.

Well now the Hammers are in talks with a club very familiar to them – Fiorentina.

And it could be great news for West Ham’s hopes of a further final day addition.

Respected Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims that the club West Ham famously vanquished in the Europa Conference League final last summer, have approached the east Londoners with a loan move for Aguerd.

Di Marzio does not state whether any obligation or option to buy will be included in the deal.

Fiorentina surely ‘big enough’ for Aguerd

But the Hammers would likely insist on one – likely based around Aguerd making a certain number of appearances.

Aguerd would surely not deem Fiorentina beneath him.

And in terms of places to live, they don’t get much better than Florence.

Aguerd is on around £50k per week at West Ham so wages won’t be a major issue for Fiorentina.

This is the perfect solution for all concerned.

The defender needs to get his career back on track. Especially if he wants to keep his place in the Morocco side.

The Hammers need to free up wages and line up some return on a player who cost them £30m.

This deal could be key if there are to be any surprise 11th hour arrivals at the London Stadium on Friday night.
