Wolves are set to announce two new signings on Deadline Day, with time ticking down to the 11pm deadline.

Matt Hobbs has been working on overdrive throughout Deadline Day as Wolves prepare to announce two new signings.

Andre and Carlos Forbs are set to make Molineux home before the deadline, as the Old Gold stunned fans with the late double capture.

There has been increased speculation over how far Wolves could go today in the market, with an update now provided with less than an hour to go.

Wolves unlikely to make any more signings on Deadline Day

While acquiring a new midfielder in Andre and a new winger in Forbs is positive, there has been hope that Wolves would deliver a new defender.

To be precise, fans have called for a new centre-back, due to the squad’s limited depth in the position.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem like it will materialise in the final hour of the summer transfer window, as per the understanding of talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook.

Taking to X, Crook informed fans that Forbs’ medical is taking place but, the 20-year-old is ‘likely’ to be the final Deadline Day arrival.

“Carlos Forbs is undergoing his medical at Wolves as we speak. Likely to be their last incoming of the window.”

Earlier today, Wolves were linked to Trevoh Chalobah, who instead joined Crystal Palace on a season-long loan from Chelsea.

Gary O’Neil might regret not signing a centre-back

From Wolves’ arrivals this summer, only one represents a defensive signing, as 18-year-old right-back Pedro Lima signed from Sport Recife.

Signing a centre-back was considered a priority this summer, particularly after club captain Max Kilman departed to join West Ham.

Despite the high that is currently surrounding Compton, there will be hope that O’Neil doesn’t regret not pushing to recruit a central defensive body.

It’s understood that Wolves enquired over Chalobah, hinting that the club wanted to recruit in the position however, efforts may have been a little too late.
