Sony takes new game ‘Concord’ offline, admits failure

Faced with poor sales, Sony has decided to take its shooter offline «Concord» just two weeks after its launch, the game’s developer announced Tuesday. “We recognize that some aspects of the game and its initial launch did not have the desired effect.”Ryan Ellis of Sony’s Firewalk Studios, which made the game, said in a statement. “And so, we have decided to take the game offline starting September 6, 2024 and explore other options, including some that we believe will be more appealing to our players.”he continued without giving further details.

Sales of «Concord»which launched on August 23 for the PlayStation 5 console and PC, will cease immediately and players who have already purchased the game will be fully refunded, Ryan Ellis said. «Concord» is a team-based shooter game where players compete in arenas.
